The first semester of MBA Course is focused towards completion of the core courses to ensure a strong foundation of the basic concepts across the various management subjects. From the second semester onwards students need to select combination of major & minor specialization. As per revised 2019 syllabus of S.P. Pune University recommendations, MAJOR-MINOR specializations are offered.

Major Specialization + Minor Specialization Combination

  • For a Major + Minor Specialization combination the learner shall complete

    Major Specialization – Courses: Total 9 (4 Subject Core courses and 5 Subject Elective courses)

    Minor Specialization – Courses: Total 4 (2 Subject Core courses and 2 Subject Elective courses)

  • For a Major + Minor Specialization combination the learner shall earn

    Major Specialization – Credits: Total 22 (12 Credits from Subject Core + Minimum 10 Credits from Subject Electives)

    Minor Specialization – Credits: Total 10 (6 Credits from Subject Core + Minimum 4 Credits from Subject Electives)

MBA - Marketing

Students opting for MBA in Marketing get insights into sales, marketing, market research and analysis, competitive analysis, market strategies, product management, consumer behavior, customer analysis, business ethics, brand management, advertising, digital marketing, and e-commerce etc.

MBA - Finance

Students specializing in Finance will learn Financial Accounting, Accounting concepts, Double Entry Accounting, Secondary Books, Trial Balance, Final Accounts, Management Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, Understanding Cost, Marginal Costing and Break Even Analysis, Budgetary Control etc.

MBA – Operations & Services Management

Student's pursuing MBA in Operations & Services Management learn about Information Technology, Quantitative Management, Operation Management, Factors of Service Marketing, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Industrial Relations etc.
